ABOUTI am Maori and am Indigenous to Aotearoa, New Zealand and currently residing as a visitor in Naarm/ Melbourne specifically living in the BoonWurrung lands of the South East Beaches.
I acknowledge that I am only a visitor to these lands and that the Indigenous Tribes of the Kulin Nation are the spiritual and traditional owners of the land that I walk, work, live and create on. I would like to pay my respects to their Elders, past and present. I believe being Maori gives me insight into the Indigenous worlds of First nation people and an opportunity to collaborate, curate and direct projects that are Indigenous inspired, shared and uplifting for the communities these projects are curated in, My mahi (work) is predominantly in Public Space with the aim of connecting with communities to help facilitate a creative way to share their stories and histories. I have curated numerous International Street Art Festivals, Art Exhibitions and Art Activations as Creative Director of Street Prints and volunteer my expertise to numerous Art Charities including Pushing Arts In Nz Trust. |
